Advisory Council

Formed April 2021, the Council oversees administrative policy and advises the Commissioner without interfering in active cases (Section 11, Anti-Corruption Act 2016). It may request information on:

• Commission budget
• Staffing and operational matters
• Status of complaints and cases

The members of the Advisory Council are appointed by the President in accordance with Section 10 of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, following recommendations of the Constitutional Appointments Authority (CAA).

Composition of the Advisory Council are:

• Mrs. Tanya Thyroomoody - Member
• Ms. Valentina Barra - Member
• Mr. Havilah Melanie - Member
