ACCS makes further arrest in US 50 million corruption case

The Anti-Corruption Commission has made a further arrest on Friday 26th November 2021 as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of USD50 million provided to the Government of Seychelles by the Government in Abu Dhabi in 2002.

The 63-year-old woman, a high-profile civilian, was arrested in a joint operation with the Seychelles Police Force just before 11 am at her residence and is currently in police custody. Enquiries are continuing before a decision is reached regarding applications for further custody which would take place before the court on 29th November 2021.
