THE CONSTITUTIONAL APPOINTMENTS AUTHORITY

APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER OF THE ADVISORY COUNCIL OF THE  ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION  
Applications are invited from persons who are qualified under Section10 of the Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Act (No 19) of 2021 for appointment to the Advisory Council of the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The functions of the Advisory Council are to:
  • oversee the administrative policy of the Commission;
  • review and recognize provisions of laws for the prevention of corruption and make recommendations to the President for their effective implementation.

A person is qualified for appointment as a Member of the Advisory Council on the basis of integrity and qualification or experience in the field of (a) anti-corruption, (b) law or law enforcement, (c) accounting, finance or administration, or (d) investigation, including forensic investigation.
 
A person appointed as a Member of the Advisory Council shall hold office for a term of three years and shall be eligible for reappointment. 

The remuneration or allowances of the Members of the Advisory Council shall be such as may be prescribed.
